Additions at the Sands and Golden Nugget

While we here at The Gottfried Group are focused on the online gaming industry, we also like to keep up to date with anything gambling related and especially when it relates to casinos. While some may say the brick and mortar casino business is in a slump, two casinos are adding some great features to their properties and if you are close to either of them check it out.

Sands Casino Bethlehem

Following numerous changes implemented during 2016, Sands Bethlehem has announced expansion plans for their casino resort in Pennsylvania. We’ve already seen Infusion lounge give up space to nation’s largest electronic table games area and Chairman’s Lounge & Suites being added on the 15th floor, as part of an all-room renovation.

Additionally, two new restaurants opened earlier this year. One is Buddy V’s Ristorante, owned by TLC’s “Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro, featuring casual dining in an upscale Italian decor. The other is Emeril’s Fish House in which chef Emeril Lagasse demonstrates his love of fresh seafood and “New New Orleans” style of cooking.

$90m worth construction to take place at Sands Bethlehem Pennsylvania

Pending the approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, first quarter of 2017 should witness further $90m worth construction take place at Sands Bethlehem casino resort in Bethlehem.

Covering the size of 3 football fields, Sands Bethlehem casino property currently spans over 150,000 square feet and houses more than 3,000 slot machines, 36 live poker tables and 180 live table games. Expansion plans include a new gaming floor which will house more than 1,000 new gaming seats. Adding 100,000 square feet will also allow the Casino to accommodate additional restaurant space, public restrooms and back of house facilities.

Continuing to upgrade and expand should ensure that Sands Bethlehem “continues to be one of the Northeast’s premiere gaming and entertainment destinations”, as stated by their president, Mark Juliano.

Golden Nugget Casinos Launches Billion Dollar Buyer Themed Slot Machines

Meanwhile, Golden Nugget Casinos plan to refresh their offer by launching new slot machines which will be exclusively available at Golden Nugget Las Vegas, Laughlin, Atlantic City, Biloxi and Lake Charles.

New slots are themed after the hit reality TV show “Billion Dollar Buyer” which connects country’s small businesses to one of America’s most successful businessmen. In season 2, the businessman in question is the billionaire hospitality mogul Tilman Fertitta, owner and CEO of Fertitta Entertainment. His company owns both the Landry’s, operating more than 50 different restaurant brands, and the Golden Nugget Casinos. As Mr Fertitta travels across the country in search for potential products which could be used in his restaurants or casinos, small businesses will get an opportunity to land a contract with the owner of Landry’s.

“Starting a business is always a gamble, and I had to find a way to commemorate this experience at my casinos”, says Tilman Fertitta. That’s why visitors to Golden Nugget Casinos will get to relive the excitement of the show playing Billion Dollar Buyer themed slot machine. Featuring 3 reels and 5 lines, Jackpot Triple Blazing 7’s slot will give them a chance to win up to 10,000 credits. Lucky winner will get to enjoy all the treats Golden Nugget Casinos have to offer, staying in one of 2,400 deluxe guestrooms and suites of the luxurious Casino in Las Vegas, celebrating in Haven Nightclub in Atlantic City or swinging a club at an 18-hole championship golf course in Golden Nugget Lake Charles.
